How To Find Out Who Your Subscribers Are On Youtube
Have you ever wondered how many subscribers some big-shot YouTuber actually has, or perhaps that friend of yours down the block that's trying to become a full-time YouTuber? Or who actually subscribes to their channels?
While you can't actually reliably see the people who subscribe to a certain channel, you can see how many people subscribe to that channel or yours. What you can see, however, is who has subscribed to your YouTube channel. Stay with us to see how to do this.
Ways to See the Subscriber Count on Any Device
If you want to see how many people are subscribed to another user, this section is for you. Although you can't see who is subscribing or any of the channel's analytics, you can get at least get the number.
Search for the Name
If you type the exact name of a YouTube channel and hit the search button, whichever device you use, the first result will be the channel itself, which will show you how many subscribers it has. Besides that, you can also see the uploaded video count, as well as subscribe and click on the bell button to receive notifications for each new video that the channel uploads. This works best with well-known channels, in which case you should be able to see their latest uploads right away.
Inside of a Video
While watching a video on YouTube, you can see the subscriber count of the channel that uploaded the video. The number is located inside of the red "Subscribe" button (or gray "Subscribed" button if you're a subscriber to that channel).
A Computer-Specific Way
If you have ever wondered how many subscribers some channels have, this is possibly the handiest method. Thanks to the menu at the left side of the screen, you can click on the "Subscriptions" tab if you're logged in to YouTube.
Here you can see the newest videos uploaded by the channels you're subscribed to. Clicking the "Manage" button near the top-right corner of the screen shows you a list of your subscriptions with their subscriber counts. You can also enable notifications for each of these.
Finding Your Channel's Subscriber Count
One of the best tools to earn more followers, monetize yourself, and grow in popularity is by investigating your channel's analytics. Fortunately, YouTube makes that simple. Follow the steps below to find out how many subscribers you have.
YouTube Studio
Entering the YouTube Studio shows you your channel's subscriber count right away. To access the studio, click on your profile icon in the top-right corner of the screen and select "YouTube Studio."
Your subscriber count is shown in the Channel analytics section to the right.
Seeing who Subscribed to Your Channel
YouTube won't show you all of your subscribers. Unfortunately, you'll only see those who subscribed within the past 28 days and those who have their subscriptions set to public. This means that you'll likely have more subscribers than you can actually identify. Also, you won't be able to see any viewers who YouTube identifies as spam or with suspended accounts.
If you want to see the exact users who subscribe to your channel, do this:
- Log in to YouTube and click on your profile icon.
- Choose "YouTube Studio just as we did above."
- The YouTube Studio Dashboard will appear where you can see your 'Recent Subscribers' card.
~ If you do not see the card in this location it's likely because you have no new subscribers or too few subscribers for YouTube to provide the information to you. Some have even theorized that it is because your channel is too new as well.
- Click 'See More' to view the full list.
On an Android Phone
You can't see who's subscribed to you on a smartphone, but you can still see your subscriber count on YouTube. Here's how to do this on an Android phone:
- Open the YouTube Android app.
- Tap on your profile icon, which is located in the top-right corner of the screen.
- In the "Account" menu that follows, tap the small black arrow next to your channel name.
- A small "Accounts" window will pop up, showing all your channels by their email addresses and their respective subscriber counts.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I see who I'm subscribed to?
Seeing who you're subscribed to is much simpler than finding out who is subscribed to you. All you need to do is click on the three horizontal lines in the upper-left corner of YouTube after you've signed in.
Scroll down to the Subscriptions sections and view the channels. You can also click the 'Show more' option to reveal all of the channels you're subscribed to.
Can I see my subscribers for the lifetime of my account?
As with many websites, analytics are merely a tool used to show you how you're trending. Analytics give you insightful details into which videos are gaining the most traction. You may not be able to see exactly who has subscribed to your account beyond the past 28 days, but you can see when you got the highest number of subscribers.
Head over to the Dashboard just as we did above and click on 'Go to Channel Analytics' located in the center of the page (look for a blue hyperlink). Select the date range in the upper-right corner and select 'Lifetime.' Then, click 'See More' under the graph. Now, you can scroll down slightly and see when your subscribers started clicking the button to follow your channel.

YouTube has gone through a lot of changes and more are in the work. Although YouTube is constantly tweaking its interface and menus, you can still access Creator Studio Classic and Channel analytics quite easily, which will surely keep the older-generation YouTubers happy, yet easy enough for newer YouTubers to grasp.
